    The Overlords, proyecto electrónico danés fundado a finales de los 80 por Rune Bendixen, Carsten Pedersen e Ian Ion, se inspiró en Front 242 y el dub electrónico de Adrian Sherwood. Utilizando samplers, grabaron “Midnight at the Grooveyard II” (1988) y establecieron The Grooveyard Studio. Su sonido evolucionó hacia el techno y new beat. Sencillos como “Moontrap” (1990) y el éxito “Sundown” (1991), remezclado por Kenneth Baker, precedieron al álbum “Organic?” (1991). Este fue distribuido por Antler Subway, ZYX y Caroline Records. El EP “Organic+” (1992) incluyó una remezcla de Sven Väth.
