Fundado en 1997 por Lowfish (Gregory De Rocher) y Solvent (Jason Amm), este \u00faltimo lo dirige. La amistad de los fundadores, influenciada por Rephlex (Aphex Twin, \u00b5-Ziq), motiv\u00f3 la creaci\u00f3n del sello ante la inercia de otras discogr\u00e1ficas. Su lanzamiento inaugural, el split 12\u201d suction001, fusion\u00f3 AFX, Autechre y Panasonic con ra\u00edces synth-pop e industrial de los 80. Este sonido, &#8220;distortion pedal new wave&#8221;, utilizaba 808s distorsionadas, breakbeats manipulados y sintetizadores mel\u00f3dicos.
